Maintenance Technician (BMD1 6AM - 6PM)

Supporting Production needs, this Maintenance Technician position addresses the service needs of all equipment on a limited supervised basis. Generally, this involves operating common tooling, performing preventive maintenance, performing and documenting repairs and may involve more than one of the following: pneumatic, hydraulic electrical systems at an Intermediate level. The position generally works independently. 

  1. Able to understand equipment needs and perform basic to midgrade mechanical and light electrical repairs with no supervision. 
  2. Perform Preventive Maintenance functions as required and expose non-conformities. In many cases, this may be the focus of the position. 
  3. Be able to use common tooling for diagnostics and repairs. 
  4. Step in and assist when called on, including on call needs.  
  5. Follow LOTO and NFPA70E. 
  6. Create recommendations which are supported by logic and fact. 
  7. Navigate SAPPM, COGZ and Microsoft Products

THE ENVIRONMENT

  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as safety glasses, steel or composite toe shoes, and in limited cases hearing protection.
  • We are a 24/7 Facility and have many different shifts. Here are the hours associated with Blow Mold Schedule (2/2/3 rotating 12 hours - this means 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, then it will switch). This position is expected to work every other weekend based on schedule:
    • BMD1/D2 is the day shift operating from 6am-6pm
    • BMN1/N2 is the night shift operating from 6pm-6am
  • The job is within a climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.
  • The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

Váš profil

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience.
  • Technical Skills:
    • (Basic) Mechanical skills and tooling, electrical skills and tooling, knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics, troubleshooting skills. 
    • (Basic) Knowledge in MS Office Suite, OSHA10, NFPA70E, LOTO, Aerial Lift, RCRA, and basic knowledge in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) (eg. Cogz, SAP PM).
  • Relocation benefits would not be offered for this job opening.

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Advanced mechanical and/or electrical skills and tooling
  • Advanced knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
  • Advanced knowledge of equipment (boilers, welders, extrusion, machine shop, controls, etc).
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills. 
  • Basic welding skills
  • Basic machining (milling machine, lathe)
  • Basic project management
  • Basic problem solving
  • Basic PLC skills (preferred)
