Supplier Quality Management (SQM) is a critical part of the Materials Organization. The SQM department is directly responsible for ensuring that the quality of supplied materials meets all Continental requirements, specifications, and expectations and conforms to all automotive industry standards. Through use of advanced quality tools, the SQM department assures that each supplier has a quality system, manufacturing process, and test system that is capable of delivering conforming material at all times. The SQM department plays a key role within commodity teams in determining the composition of the Continental supply base by documenting quality and performance data for each supplier. The SQM department interfaces with internal customers, in addition to engaging with sub-suppliers.
- Bachelor degree
- Technical Knowledge in Electronic testing and electronic diagram interpretation
- Advanced English
- Outstanding Leadership skills to drive to results and execution of actions with suppliers.
- Outstanding abilities building networks and partnerships
- Capability to work with different cultures
- Project management skills, tools and techniques
- Advanced Core tools experience
- VDA 6.3 process audit experience
