Indirect Operational Buyer Sr.

Carrying out all purchasing activities in the area of goods/services for which the job holder is responsible for. The main purpose is to optimize supply through aggregation of spend and applying of common strategies with the target to maximize the earning contribution across locations in the region in accordance with purchasing and company guidelines.

  • Approval and negotiation of shopping carts up to defined regional value threshold.
  • Creation of purchase orders w/o value limits and in line with our guidelines.
  • Management of the RfQ-Process for demands/shopping carts up to defined regional value threshold, incl. the awarding of suppliers.
  • Responsible for new vendors set up and new contracts approval submittal for owned negotiations.
  • Find saving opportunities by bundling operational demands up to defined regional value threshold, substitution of suppliers, negotiations of payment (DPO)/ delivery terms and warranty extensions.
  • Processing of order confirmation (maintaining all relevant data in the system, clarification, and approval of deviations) for critical/sensitive orders (e.g., storeroom items) defined by Regional Operations
  • Escalation Management/Problem Solving by executing approaches with the aim to secure local objectives.
  • Invoice clarification in case of price deviations.
  • Steering and monitoring the automated replenishment process for coded materials.
  • Identification and support on the creation of electronic catalogs to reduce manual processing requirements, while promoting the usage of existing ones.
  • Contract management, and knowledge of commercial conditions according to the country of operation.
  • Mentoring of junior operational buyers.

Váš profil

  • Academic degree in International Business or Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or comparable qualification
  • Fluent English language skills 
  • More than 3 years of experience in automotive purchasing
  • Have worked in a multicultural environment, good communication skills and proactive approach are required
  • Negotiation skills
  • Customer orientated skills
  • Know and analyze processes and/or information to propose improvements within the purchasing department.
  • Implement measures and support the purchasing team in reaching team's common targets.
  • Region-specific operational requirements, e.g., tax application support, Intrastat, etc.
  • May be required to assist Global or Regional Category colleagues on carts approvals and SAP (or other ERP) orders conversion due to local systems accesses needed.
  • Project Management skills
  • Contract management
  • Experience in MS applications (Excel, PowerPoint)
