Test Engineer Virtual Verification

On our exciting journey to fully autonomous driving we are developing and testing ADAS components and functions for our European customers in a global market. Our ADAS technologies are building blocks for a safe driving experience enabling partially as well as fully autonomous mobility solutions. The Test Engineer for Virtual Testing is fully responsible for the roll-out of latest virtual test methods and test environments (Hardware in the Loop, HiL & Software in the Loop, SiL) as well as the execution of test cases and automation of test execution within the project team. Thus ensuring full test coverage efficiently, on time and with best quality.

As a Test Engineer Virtual Verification your task will be:

• Specification of test cases for virtual testing according to customer and product requirements
• Planning, preparation, execution and evaluation of system tests on test bench, Hil and SiL test environments
• Documentation and tracking of deviations and errors using agreed problem resolution workflows
• Compilation of test reports, communication and discussion of test results with project team and customer
• Ensuring full test automation from execution to evaluation for fast feedback within an agile workflow
• Enabling smart test coverage using synthetic data and simulation as well as reducing test effort by Design of Experiment (DoE) concepts
• Roll-out, adoption and optimization of current and new virtual test methods (tools and workflow)
• Defining requirements for virtual testing using HiL farms and SiL in on-premise as well as cloud computing
• Alignment of test strategy across all testing levels with focus on virtual testing methods
• Interface to central engineering, product lines and base projects on virtual test methods for application projects
• Collaboration within the test and validation community for efficient and effective ramp-up of virtual testing methods

• Degree in driver assistance systems, automotive engineering, electrical / mechanical engineering, computer or natural science or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience with degree in automotive industry or similar (e.g. aerospace, robotic) in developing and/or validating electrical components and/or embedded software
• Experience with programming and scripting (e.g. C/C++, Python, Matlab, Labview)
• First knowledge on driver assistance systems, electrical vehicle architecture and bus systems preferred
• Experience with automotive development and test processes (ASPICE, ISO26262, ISTQB) preferred
• Knowledge on SW development tools (e.g. GitHub, Jira, Confluence, DOORs) preferred
• Profient in spoken and written English
• Capability to take initiative, make decisions and deliver results showing passion and commitment
